BioArtography Travel Grant Announcement and Application Purpose

The Next Deadline to Submit a Travel Grant is: Monday, June 3, 2013 at 5:00 PM

This travel grant is intended to provide funding for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to participate in scientific meetings and conferences. Grant Amount: $500

All applications must be submitted prior to attending the meeting/conference. Applications will not be considered for retroactive funding. Submitted applications must include the following: Completed application form (pdf at bottom of page) signed by applicant and advisor (CFO Faculty Members only). Paragraph describing meeting/conference and justification for attendance. Copy of abstract submitted to the meeting/conference.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Funding for travel grants is provided by the Bioartography program. Six $500 grants will be randomly chosen (3 predoctoral and 3 postdoctoral). All grant awardees will be required to donate 4 hours of time at the Bioart booth during the 2013 Ann Arbor Art Fair (July 17-20, 2013). This travel grant funding will be paid as a reimbursement after the travel has occurred. Please note that meal expenses cannot exceed the following amounts ($15 breakfast; $20 lunch; $40 dinner) and funds cannot be used to cover costs for others and will not cover alcohol. Sufficient detailed receipts must be obtained and provided to the CFO for reimbursement. Individuals are eligible for one travel grant per 12 month period.
